Fifty Shades of blame.

It pays to be a notorious and powerful businesswoman when you make the decision to divorce your husband for his refusal to play along with an erotic Fifty Shades of Grey bedroom fantasy. While some guys may be baffled by the 41-year-old's partner's actions for turning down such and offer, lawyers and solicitors are concerned with the rise of cases which can be related back to the behaviour in E.L. James's hit trilogy.

The wife has taken up legal action and seeking separation from her partner, after he refused to play along with the novel's themes. Bondage, S+M and sexual adventure where a part of the issue, the wife referring to her husband's lack of sexual desire being the prime cause of the marriage breakdown.

Amanda McAlister, solicitor of the involved wife, says the book has directly triggered a divorce–the trilogy addressing the story of an affair between billionaire Christian Grey and vulnerable student Anastasia Steele. Since its release, the novel has experienced 60 million copies sales worldwide.

The wife's argument in court told of her husband's “boring attitude” toward sex, with her lawyer stating that the woman had merely been looking for ways to “spice up her love life”.

“She thought their sex life had hit a rut–he never remembered Valentines Day and he never complimented her on her appearance.

So she bought sexy underwear in an attempt to get her husband more involved. But when he still didn't take any notice, she told I'm he had a boring attitude to sex and she was fed up.

In defense, the husband blamed Fifty Shades, dubbing it “mummy porn”.
