A Washington woman has appeared in a magazine feature in the US, confessing her maternal obsession with breastfeeding the family pug. After becoming distraught from discovering her children were unable to breastfeed due to a breast condition, Terri Graham, 44, has turned to feeding her 9-year-old daughter’s dog Spider, for the last two years.
Graham noticed Spider’s love for the taste when he continuously licked the top of the baby bottle. Claiming that she knows people think her a ‘freak’, the woman has insisted that the habit gives the dog both nourishment and love, as well as making her feel like a proper mother.
In an interview with Closer magazine, Graham expressed that “Having Spider suckle on my boob means I finally feel complete and a better mother”, and further stated that the dog developed an obsession for the breast milk in 2010, when she began pumping milk for her newborn son.
A psychologist interviewed for the same feature insisted that Graham seek therapy.
