A Melbourne man has captured a three-minute clip of what he claims to be a UFO, hovering over the city’s skyline on Monday night.
Tod, who has asked for his surname to be kept anonymous by the media, snapped the footage on his phone after spotting the object at around 9:30pm, whilst other witnesses claim have reported seeing it at approximately 7:30pm.

According to Todd, the object left its position over the Carlton Gardens region at about 11pm, flying past the Immigration Museum, telling the Herald Sun that it was like nothing he had ever witnessed before.
“It was moving like no other flying object that I’m aware exists, and it was displaying patterns of light that looked like something like a light show display in the sky,” Todd said.
“I was on Lygon St when I first saw it then I walked up to Carlton Gardens, there were a whole bunch of other people who saw it as well.”
Astronomical Society of Victoria’s Perry Vlahos told the Sun that the object was unlikely to be anything out of the ordinary.
“Something that has been around that long and not seen by astronomers is probably unlikely to be anything odd,” he said.
“The fact it was in the sky for that long, probably indicates it was something not too unusual.”
Fellow resident Ms De La Soyo also reported seeing a formation of lights, which passed the balcony of her 9th floor city apartment at about 10:15pm.
“Eight orange lights in a weird formation came up over the horizon then their formation changed a bit, one disappeared and then the others did.
“It all lasted about a minute. I know it wasn’t a plane or a helicopter.”
