Life as Dave

Every now and then, there comes a moment in human history that will leave people asking for decades to come, where were you when… Most often, this is said in joy and excitement over a milestone event, such as, where were you when man landed on the moon? or where were you when Barack Obama was elected as the first black president? But sometimes, the question unfortunately arises in the aftermath of human disaster. The most unfortunate question we’ve had to recall over and over again in the last decade is, where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001.

            I was only 10 years old when the terrorist group Al-Qaeda hijacked four civilian aircraft and targeted various landmarks around the United States. The first two targets hit by the planes were of course the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City…
