A wave is a new beginning, a new memory, a new temptation; a new mission. The curving of its body to the tip of its claw will slither through the calms, destroying silence. Maybe that giant lurking and roaring above your head will bring peace after it has erupted. Maybe it won’t. Most of all, you have to ponder whether to welcome the new life that will arrive with the new tide. It is all about perspective. Will you ride that water serpent, or will you bathe in its sheer force? Will you roll your tongue over the grains of sand that have been thrown into your mouth, or will you set it free back into the sleeping giant? No wave is unrideable. The only thing that matters is how you choose to get wet.
